1. Who we are

BuilderIQ (the "Service") is operated by Utility Blockchain Solutions, LLC("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service, except where our payment processor (Paddle) acts as controller for payment-related data.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, login credentials, profile info.
  • Business data — company name, jobsite photos, measurements, voice notes, customer contact details, estimates, and proposals you create.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, device type, browser, IP address, and diagnostic logs.
  • Support data — messages you send us and their attachments.
  • Cookies — essential cookies for authentication and session, plus limited analytics cookies.

3. How we use it

  • Provide and operate the Service, including generating AI-drafted estimates and proposals from your input.
  • Manage your account, subscription, and support requests.
  • Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Improve product performance, reliability, and features.
  • Send transactional messages (billing, security, product changes).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (delivering the Service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (optional marketing, non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax and accounting).

5. Who we share data with

  • Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for payments, billing, tax compliance, subscription management, and invoicing.
  • Cloud infrastructure & hosting providers — to host the Service, databases, and file storage.
  • AI model providers — to generate estimates, proposals, and summaries from your input. Providers process data as our subprocessors and do not train on your data.
  • Analytics & error-monitoring providers — to keep the Service reliable.
  • Professional advisers — legal and accounting professionals, under confidentiality.
  • Authorities — where required by law.

6. Retention

We keep account and business data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized. You can request deletion at any time (see section 8).

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege service accounts. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your login credentials.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support channel in the app. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. International transfers

Some subprocessors may process data outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
